Faith Groups Urge Senate to Consider SCOTUS Nominee

“The democratic process is fundamental to the American way of life and to our Unitarian Universalist faith community, but it only works if elected leaders fulfill their duties. It is time to put partisan politicking aside and to fill the Supreme Court vacancy. I strongly urge the senators blocking this process to do their moral and ethical duty and hold hearings for Judge Merrick Garland,” said UUA President Peter Morales. The letter was signed by ten faith-based organizations who agree that the Senate must do its job as mandated by the Constitution.
