Guest in Your Pulpit - Glenn Davis

Glenn Davis is a professional photographer and artist who has been active in the Olmsted congregation for many years. His work with programs like SEED (Sustainable Energy for Economic Development) and the Green Sanctuary project has made him a passionate advocate for a new approach to technology.

Titles of programs/sermons and a brief statement of content on each:

  • Dyslexia: Out of the Closet!—Glenn gives his personal insights into "who we are, where we come from, what it's like, how to recognize dyslexia, how to cope, what we know, and how to help."
  • A Photographer's Eye—A portrait photographer soon learns that the nature of humans is insecurity. A look at the human self-image and how its frailties get us into trouble.
  • A Green History—Ask not what your planet can do for you: Ask what you can do for your planet! A meditation on Clive Ponting's thesis that "the exhaustion of natural resources has played key roles in the collapse of all great cultures in human history."
