Youth Racial Justice Leadership Development Staten Island, NY Conference June 2-4, 2017
Type of event: Conference
The Racial Justice Leadership Development Conference will provide an opportunity for youth to foster self awareness while building deeper connections to one another through social action. We will be exploring and challenging our personal, interpersonal and cultural experiences of racism and xenophobia. As Unitarian Universalists we are actively creating communities in which we are willing to actively transform and be transformed by our lived realities. This conference is an opportunity to develop skills to support each other and intervene in instances of injustice.
Please note this is not a CER Con, it is a congregation organized and sponsored conference that has agreed to abide by CER rules.
Capacity for this event is 40 youth, 13 sponsors. If the form is closed and we are not yet at the deadline, please contact the registrar to be put on the waiting list. The required youth to adult ratio is 8:1.
