The Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County (UUCDC), a liberal religious community of approximately 300 members in Media, Pennsylvania, seeks a Director of Religious Education (DRE) to lead its Religious Education program. Led by Reverend Peter Friedrichs since 2006, UUCDC was named a Breakthrough Congregation by the Unitarian Universalist Association in 2015. They are a Welcoming Congregation with a vibrant Religious Education program and a strong commitment to social justice.

The church is located in Media, Pennsylvania, a town of about 5,000 located 13 miles west of downtown Philadelphia and its many cultural and historic attractions. Media is the first Fair Trade town in the Americas and is known for its strong sense of community and small-town charm. It is served by the Rose Tree Media school district and is located near Ridley Creek State Park, Tyler Arboretum, and Swarthmore College.

The Religious Education program at UUCDC typically enrolls close to 100 children between pre-school and grade 8, about 50 of whom will attend church on any given Sunday. Classes and activities are led by an energetic corps of volunteers and supported by a Religious Education Council. The DRE opening is a 3⁄4 time position (30 hours per week), with program responsibilities from August 1 and June 30; compensation and benefits package (including sabbatical plan) is commensurate with UUA Fair Compensation Guidelines.
