Internships and Volunteering

Internships

From time-to-time, the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) opens internships to students and others interested in training opportunities in one of our staff groups or offices. Please follow the specific application instructions carefully, as procedures and submission requirements vary depending on the position. Internships—if available—are listed at:

Volunteering at the UUA

At a Congregation

If you're interested in a volunteer position, we strongly recommend that you reach out to a local Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregation. There you will find plenty of opportunities for engagement in leadership, in developing membership, in religious education, and in social justice, to name but a few.

On a Committee

The UUA also relies upon energetic, committed, visionary Unitarian Universalists to serve on the committees, commissions, boards, task forces and panels that work in partnership with staff and the Board of Trustees to carry out the mission of our Association. If volunteering at the denominational level is of interest to you, please consider a volunteer position.
