All in to Vote for Youth Observer!

By Deborah Neisel-Sanders

Mobilize! Elect a leading youth voice in Unitarian Universalist affairs.

Participating in the election of the 2013-2014 Youth Observer to the UUA Board of Trustees is an easy way to ensure that the youth perspective is included in the discussion on a national level of Unitarian Universalism. Electing the candidate best able to represent all UU youth depends on as many youths voting as possible (and the larger the turnout, the larger the mandate the Youth Observer commands when representing youth to the Board of Trustees).

Ballots must be received by MONDAY, APRIL 29th

Spread the word about the role of the Youth Observer.

Each spring the Youth Observer is elected to a one-year term to the Unitarian Universalist Association Board of Trustees by congregational youth groups across the country. The Youth Observer attends each Board meeting as a non-voting member, with full travel costs covered by the UUA, advocating for young Unitarian Universalists, and providing a youth voice to the Board.

The Youth Observer stays current on issues of interest to UU youth in districts and congregations, links and nurtures relationships between youth leaders and informs General Assembly Youth Caucus of relevant Board issues and discussions.

If you have any questions about the Election of the Youth Observer, please contact us at youth@uua.org or 617-948-4350 and we’ll be glad to help.

THIS APRIL MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! Ballots must be received by MONDAY, APRIL 29th
