UUA Leads Verizon to Protect Transgender Workers

In five-year shareholder advocacy campaign, UUA helps create gender identity protection for 2.9 million workers at many companies.

By Michelle Bates Deakin For each of the last five years, the Unitarian Universalist Association has filed shareholder resolutions with Verizon Communications to urge the corporation to add “gender identity or expression” to its non-discrimination policy.
