The Boy Scouts of America Honorary President speaks

In a pre-Super Bowl interview, when asked whether the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) should modify its policy to admit gay members, President Obama gave a one word answer, "Yes." He continued, "My attitude is that gays and lesbians should have access and opportunity the same way everybody else does, in every institution and walk of life." The BSA executive committee meets this week. Watch the interview here. (Comment on the BSA begins at 1:23 in the video, after President Obama's explanation for dropping the ban on military women serving in combat roles.) Read about President Obama's statement here.
