CUUYAN Goes to Louisville

By Ted Resnikoff

At General Assembly in Louisville, KY next week, you'll find members of the Continental Unitarian Universalist Young Adult Network (C*UUYAN). The C*UUYAN Steering Committee is excited to be at General Assembly and is in a process of transformation to a membership organization! You can visit with us at the Young Adult Caucus Orientation at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 19 and learn about our current programming and our dreams for the future, including:
  • Opus, our annual spiritual retreat; and
  • ConCentric, the annual business meeting.
Click here to learn about and register for Opus 2013 at Unicamp in Honeywood, Ontario. Steering Committee members Julie Brock, Alexis Ettner, Kelly Rauch, Ian Jaffe, and Elizabeth Mount can be found at a variety of GA events and workshops including the Environmental Bus Tour Wednesday from 6-8pm. Don't worry, we'll have you back a few minutes early so you won't miss the banner parade! In addition, C*UUYAN would like to recommend a few workshops we think would be especially well suited to young adults and their allies: Thursday 10:45 - 12:00 (Program #1) The Journey to Commitment: Faith Development in Action (Convention Center 207) Building a Young Adult Environmental Justice Network (Convention Center 209) *Includes Steering Committee Member Elizabeth Mount Thursday 1:45 - 3:00 (Program #2) Grounded Governance (Convention Center 106-107) *Includes Steering Committee Member Julie Brock Thursday 3:30 - 4:45 John Murray Distinguished Lecture: The Promise of Universalism (Convention Center, Cascade B) Friday 1:45 - 3:00 Bridging and Beyond: Stronger Youth/Young Adult Ministry (Convention Center L9-L11) Come, Come, Whoever You Are: Engaging in Multicultural Worship (Convention Center 207) We hope to see you at GA and talk with you about what a Radically Inclusive, Spiritually Alive, and Justice Centered organization would look like for you and how we can get there. _____ Ed.
