Marriage
There is no one standard Unitarian Universalist wedding service. Each service is developed by the couple and the presiding minister to best reflect the couple’s beliefs, hopes, and relationship.
In addition to blessing heterosexual unions, Unitarian Universalist congregations and ministers welcome the opportunity to bless same-sex marriages, even in the states where they are not yet legally recognized.
The best way to get more information about marriage within a Unitarian Universalist congregation is to contact the district office for your part of the country, which will have a list of Unitarian Universalist clergy that perform weddings in your area. You may also want to directly contact your local congregation.
This work is made possible by the generosity of individual donors. Please consider making a donation today.
