Unitarian Universalist (UU) young adults are brave, curious, and compassionate thinkers and doers. Diverse in beliefs, ethnicity, personal history, and spirituality, we unite to put love into action. We are companions on the path towards a better you and a better world.
To us spirituality is a verb. It happens when we feel a deep connection and we find a greater purpose. It happens when we grow in hope and courage, even when we feel hurt and scared. We are about making a difference in this life—in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
Young adults, roughly between 18 and 35, live the UU faith in many ways. In congregations we worship, learn, and grow relationships with people of all ages. Some congregations have designated young adult groups. We also have UU groups on some college and university campuses. To see what groups are meeting and where, visit The Hub Map.
To work for justice, we support the courageous work of Standing on the Side of Love, and the life-changing internships and journeys of the UU College of Social Justice. We also gather at camps and conferences, by region, and nationally at the UUA’s General Assembly.
In addition to physical gatherings, we connect online, via the Blue Boat blog, Facebook groups for campus UUs and young adult UUs, and Quest for Meaning.
Come. Bring your gifts and your fears. Bring a desire to be the change you seek. Find a congregation near you. Find a young adult or campus ministry group near you. We strive to welcome deeply people of all ages and classes, sexual orientations, gender identities/expressions, races/ethnicities, and abilities.
Join in. We’re where you are, even if there isn’t an in-person gathering nearby. Explore an online UU congregation. Connect with us on Facebook: campus UUs and young adult UUs. Join the discussion on the BlueBoat blog: for campus and for young adults. Together we can be even more.
