Volunteer with Globe Aware: Adventures in Service
"There comes a point in a person's life when you start asking yourself, "What difference am I making in this world?" I decided to put my free time into something worthwhile." ~ Gayle Harrod
About Globe Aware
Globe Aware is an international service organization that coordinates, organizes and leads volunteer vacations, service vacations, working holidays and service trips to fifteen different countries across the world. Globe Aware's primary mission is to afford individuals and groups the opportunity to not only travel the world, but to connect them with cultures and experiences that will transform their perspective on life. Through its close partnership with the International Volunteer Program Association and its commitment to service in solidarity, Globe Aware has been able to build strong relationships with communities around the world. To this day, Globe Aware remains rooted in their mission to facilitate the transformation of life through service.
Volunteer Vacations
Volunteering abroad is a popular and fulfilling vacation alternative. People looking to add meaning and purpose to their vacation time are finding personal fulfillment by traveling to developing countries, immersing themselves in communities, and working with a community of fellow volunteers and local people building schools, roads, wells and irrigation; teaching children and adults; training community leaders and workers; and rehabilitating environments.
A volunteer vacation with Globe Aware allows volunteer travelers the unique opportunity to contribute to a community, while enjoying an in-depth, immersive cultural experience. Working alongside fellow volunteers and local people, Globe Aware volunteer vacationers have a great time while achieving worthwhile goals.
