Attending Meetings
Annual Program Fund (APF) Committee members are expected to attend the March and sometimes the fall APF Committee meeting in Boston. Lodging will be provided at the Pickett and Eliot Houses, the Unitarian Universalist Association's (UUA's) bed and breakfast facility. The APF Office will provide information about travel arrangements. The meeting usually runs from Friday morning until noon Sunday. It is a busy and lively mix of training, strategizing, meetings with UUA staff and administration, and opportunities to share and interact with other d istrict chairs. (Because of this and of space limitations at Pickett and Eliot Houses, you are requested not to bring spouses/partners with you.) Agendas are provided in advance of the meeting. You may also be asked to attend one additional strategy and training meeting, as needed. These meetings are usually for one day in the fall.
Travel Arrangements
Room reservations at Pickett and Eliot Houses will be made for you. You will be notified when it is time for you to make your airline reservations. Please be sure to reserve at least twenty-one days in advance. The UUA uses the Great International Travel travel agency.
Expense Reimbursement
Travel expenses to meetings of the Committee are reimbursed by the UUA. Before your trip, review the Board Travel, Meal, and Expense Guidelines document to familiarize yourself with the UUA's policies on reimbursable expenses. To be reimbursed for expenses incurred for and during the meeting, use the UUA Travel and Entertainment Expense Report provided with your meeting materials. Retain all receipts for reimbursable expenses and return with the completed expense report. See "Travel and Expense Guidelines" for reimbursement forms.
