Consulting and Training Services
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Office of Young Adult and Campus Ministry provides professional consulting services to congregations and young adult and campus groups. Our consultants are specially trained to work with you to meet your needs and provide individualized workshops and trainings that will help you minister to and with young adults and college students. We are dedicated to providing the highest-quality consulting services to our member congregations.Possible Areas of Consultation

What Does a Consultation Include?
Once a consultation has been requested, you will be matched with a consultant who will work with you over the course of three to four months. This longer-term relationship allows our consultants to meet your needs better. Our full-service consultations include the following:
- Assessment work, including interviews and conference calls with leaders and key stakeholders in your congregation
- An on-site visit with a day-long training, workshop, or gathering (with all travel expenses for the consultant included)
- Follow-up work with group leaders, including implementation of an action plan
- A brief written report and recommendations for future work
Consulting Rates and Grants
We are committed to offering consulting services at a deeply-discounted rate that also recognizes the professional quality of the services (and allows us to compensate our consultants fairly). Because the UUA operating budget subsidizes our consulting services and pays for administration and ongoing consulting training, we offer these services at a further discount to congregations in Fair Share standing with the UUA Annual Program Fund (Canadian Unitarian Council member congregations who are designated Honour Societies with the CUC Annual Program Contribution are also eligible for this discount). Our consulting rates are as follows:
- $500 for Fair Share congregations
- $750 for non-Fair Share congregations
- Additionally, Fair Share congregations may be eligible for a project grant of up to $500 to cover these expenses.
