What is the Difference Between the Committee on Committees (CoC) and the Nominating Committee (NC)?

The CoC is made up of members from the UUA Board of Trustees. The NC is an elected group of UUs that are not UUA employees or board members. The CoC appoints people to committees. The NC nominates people for election at General Assembly.

In general, the Nominating Committee fills positions, committees or commissions that require more independence from the UUA administration and Board of Trustees. The Commission on Appraisal or Financial Advisor are good examples.
