Dr. P.D. Wadler

PD Wadler is a psychologist in Chicago where he maintains a diverse clinical practice specializing in couples counseling, particularly with same-sex couples, and with the care of people living with HIV/AIDS. He holds an M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas.

He is a native of rural south Texas and is both Jewish and Unitarian Universalist. PD is an active layperson in the Second Unitarian Church of Chicago where he has served on many committees, including the Board, and is a former Chair of the Board of Trustees. He currently serves as Chair of the Committee on Ministries. He has also served as Vice President of the Central Midwest District of the Unitarian Universalist Association and as a member of its Board.

PD is married to Rick Brown, his partner of 17 years. Rick serves as the Administrator of the First Unitarian Society of Chicago, directly across the street from Meadville Lombard Theological School. PD and Rick live with their two cats on the North Side of Chicago where all four of them root for the Chicago Cubs. In their spare time, PD and Rick enjoy films, food, and Chicago's spectacular architecture.
